In the beginning of the edge, she started with back crochet then front but then the repeat says front first then back… is that right?

This shawl was so easy to make. My Friend stole it and is sending it to her elderly mother in Hungary. I was so proud and excited. Thank you for teaching me how to make it

  7. I've tried pocket shawls in the past, but I started this one today and I'm amazed at how fast it is progressing….thanks!!!

  8. Love the design and I’ve finished making the shawl. Now I’m working on the edges and it keeps bulging. I’ve gone a size up and a size down on my hook and still not getting it right ☹️ not sure what else to do. The needle size for the yarn I bought is 6.5mm but I used a 7mm hook. I’ve tried the edge on a size 8mm and size 6mm and it bulges anyways. Please help. Thank you

Donna, I love this pattern but I'm wondering if there is a way to turn this shawl into a sweater vest. I really like the style but I would like to make it into a vest. What do you think? I would really like your advice. Thanks so much for your wonderful patterns and videos.

  12. What size crochet hook was used?

This is nice but,th words covered up what you were doing. I learn by watching so it wasn't easy to follow for me.

  16. I LOVE that you created the pockets by including them in the length of the wrap- and doubling them oer on both isdes- that was brilliant. I love theat theya re NOT sewed on and NOT complicated in design and completion. Ive looked at several by Yarnspirations & I wonder who did they think could complete the complex designs..THANK YOU for making it achievable for experienced and 1yr choceters like myself..I LOVE this! I cannot wait to try it with Red Heart with Love- self striping yarn in Mojave..It will look awesome! 850yds/ check, TY !!

How long (time) does it take to crochet this pocket shawl?

  18. Ally Gagnon says:

I’ve only been crocheting for a few months and this was my first project that wasn’t a scarf. It turned out great, I love it! This video was very easy to follow and the project was a great step up from a scarf, not too hard! Thank you!!

I made this for a friend, beautiful. I made your Mobius Shawl also, which was a huge hit! I did something a little different for the Pocket Shawl … I added 3 buttons down the front, matching the pockets. My friend wanted it closed in front at times, so it would stay put when she was doing laundry or just out & about. Now her friends want one … I need more hands! I love ALL your patterns and your tutorials are the Best!! 🏆👏🙋

  20. Does the 122 rows include the hdc on each end?

  21. How many skeins do I need?

  22. Stacy Deal says:

I'm trying to do this as a Christmas present and think I put in too many stitches when I did the pocket. How many stitches should there be from one end of the pocket to the next? I have too many and its getting wavy

I am making this now and am loving how easy this works up. Question though how do I adjust the length for someone that is 5'6. Do I take 3 inches off what you calculated for your height? I'm on row 75 now and slowly working on it as Christmas gift so anyone replying would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙂

  32. I am making this now and am considering how I might line the pockets. I think they are pretty holey pockets. Any suggestions?

  33. Naztazia, thanks for your teaching in crochet, I don't know your language but I understand your projects very well. I'm your fan from Mexico.

    This one is perfect!

  40. What do I do when I get to the last row? HDC to create the border or HDC chain 1 skip the next loop then HDC until the end. Then do another row of HDC in every loop? HELP! I'm lost when it comes to the last few rows. 🙂

  41. I can't find my original comment to update it, so I will just comment again. This is a genius pattern! Who would've thought to make pockets out of the body of the shawl? I love it! And I'm a big guy so I made mine wider. I also dropped half a hook size to a 6mm. Stitches look amazing! And I have to say, variegated yarn works AMAZINGLY with this pattern. Donna, you did it! You get a trophy for this pattern because it is amazing!! 🏆 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
