I love self-striping yarn. It makes colorwork easy and fun with fewer ends to weave in later. For this pattern, I really enjoyed working with the Felici Worsted Weight Yarn from WeCrochet. It creates a comfy sock that can keep the toes warm. This sock is worked from the toe to the cuff with the heel being worked last.

Repeats are written as S (M, L)
The ch 1 on the ribbing does not count as a stitch.
This sock is worked in the round continuously without joining. I suggest using a stitch marker to keep track of the rounds.

I’m using a 2 ply and size 4 hook. What should I do differently? Also my yarn is wool and acrylic, so not so stretchy.

  2. Of all the sick patterns this is the easiest on I’ve seen. Now I won’t avoid making them.

I absolutely LOVE this tutorial. It makes everything so clear. You motivated me to order some time traveler yarn for myself to give it a try!

  5. I have never made socks before so I think I came to the right video thank you
I just wanted to ask you where do you purchase that yarn so I can get That yarn to make socks thank you for any help that you can give me. Sue

Hi I love this pattern! Do you think it would still work well with a 100% acrylic yarn?

  7. Milky Eggs says:

i love its called time traveler and looks like the 6ths doctor scarf

  8. Did anyone else run out of yarn? I started a new roll and ran out of yarn right before the ribbon on the second sock… now I have one sock without the ribbon and heel😬 I don’t think my stitches are too big or too loose because the socks fit my feet fine, does anyone know why I would be running out so quickly? I also used the same brand of yarn as in the video.

somehow i ended up with 44 stitches around the heel, can i adjust the number of sc to work with 44?

  10. it is not so easy for a beginner to follow this pattern. it took me three hours to get the toe/foot done having to stop, watch, write down the stitches and hoping I counted right. Is there no easy way to print the pattern?

  11. I hate wooden hooks lol.

  12. Would like to try what mm is a g hook 🙂

  13. Having trouble. I followed the video multiple times but the sock was too big. So I went down in hook size and still didn’t help. I got to a 3.75 mm hook and it still came out too big. I’m positive I’m following the pattern correctly and I’m using 4 weight yarn. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong ☹️

Excellent tutorial! Thank you! Stay safe. 😷

  20. Wow worsted weight!! I thought it would be a tiny thin yarn!! I have severe arthritis and have to avoid thin yarn&/or tiny hooks. They wreak havoc with my wrists. Thank you this is the first sock video I’ve wanted to try.

  21. Silvia Lanus says:

Love them! I’ll try to make them. I’ve been checking the hooks and as I live in the USA shipping really expensive. Thanks for sharing.

  22. Rehana says:

  23. Sameh Omar says:

Unfortunately even this video didn’t help it’s not clear or easy for other sizes as you didn’t explain them I went even to the written one didn’t find the count or method for size M and L we need a clear stitches count going with the work like in smaller one why always no count or videos for bigger sizes
