Does doing the twist shorten the headband? Do I need to make it slightly bigger than I need before I do the twist?
This is the first thing I’ve made that’s not a wash cloth!!! It was easy I just need a better sewing needle for yarn

Can I do it with knitting needles?
What size hook
Same size yarn and hook, but mine came out 5 1/2 inches instead of 4 1/2. Does anyone know why? I did 14 stitches.
